A reminder of a wonderful day !
What started off worrying about weather not holding after a short shower, turned out to be fine!
The Mayor of Honiton opened proceedings followed by ‘ Richie D James ‘ – a terrific singer with a lovely voice. Richie had our residents singing and dancing within a few minutes! – Everybody said that Richie was excellent and would love for him to return soon, to entertain us.
Whilst Richie was performing, residents, family and guests were enjoying the great BBQ we had. Professor bumble came to entertain everybody with his juggling skills coupled with his animal balloon tricks, they were a big hit! There was even a queue of children waiting to have their animal balloons made.
We then were entertained with the Karizma majorettes who put on a terrific performance, with a crowd watching and appreciating them after every act.
Lastly the ukulele band came on and had many people tapping there feet in rhythm, again so talented to watch them perform.
We had many stalls from bric-a-brac to a cake stand and a finale raffle with excellent prizes which were handed out. We managed to raise over £450 from our fete and
a huge thank you goes to the local businesses in Honiton who donated to our fete and of course everybody who was there on the day – so thank you so much !!!
Also a great deal of thanks goes to the staff who set up the fete and who managed the stalls and of course the entertainment who came to perform.
A massive thank you must go to – Richie D James – Professor Bumble – Karizma Majorettes and The Ukulele Band – who made our day so memorable, THANK YOU!
